ALEX FREEBURG Freeburg Law

My clients are good people. Whether they have been injured, or accused of a crime, I like who I represent. I am proud of what I am able to do for them. And I am proud of the results my team delivers. So for me, I like my work.

I’ve always had a strong sense of fairness. When I was a kid, I liked to argue. I read books like it was my job. I’m stubborn. Naturally, I became a lawyer.

When I graduated from the University of Washington law school in 2010, I wanted to try cases more than I wanted to make money. I became a prosecutor for a county in rural Washington state. In 2 years, I tried 25 cases to a jury. While I loved the work I was doing on behalf of victims, I also realized that cops weren’t always right, that laws weren’t always fair, and there is more to the law (and life) than prosecution. I moved to Wyoming and soon opened my practice.

Now I lead a firm with offices in Cheyenne and Jackson. We handle semi truck wreck cases and serious personal injuries. In 2024, we recovered more than $3 million for individuals injured by trucks in Wyoming. We’ve represented victims of sexual assault alongside folks injured in accidents.

We handle high-profile cases. Our attorneys, Ethan Morris, and Rachel Berkness have been covered by Fox News, CNN, ABC News, the Washington Post and Guardian along with Cowboy State Daily and the Jackson Hole News & Guide.

I started my career as a rookie prosecutor, guided by a wise legal assistant and the County Attorney. Now it gives me great pleasure to use the words “lead,” “we,” and “team” to describe how I practice law.

But the point of a great law firm is to serve you, the client. We are only as great as the work we do and the results we achieve for you.

What else? I’m 41 years old, married, and have two children.

In 2023, I was elected president of the Wyoming Trial Lawyers Association, which is the capstone to eight years of board service and an honor. I believe deeply in the organization and serving our justice system.

The best cases are interesting. Give me a case that takes a little bit of creativity and hard work. Something with a righteous angle. If you have something that fits the bill, please get in touch.
